Books You Should Read If You Love These 7 Bollywood Movies

Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Anjaana Anjaani, Imtiaz Ali’s Movies, etc.

If you’re reading this right now, I’m sure that much like me, you’re a Bollywood Movies fan too, right? Also, you’re someone who loves books, again, right?

So, not making this introduction paragraph any longer, I would directly like to jump on to these 7 Books that you should read right now if you love these 7 Bollywood movies including Anjaana Anjaani, Talaash, Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, and etc. etc. Here we go:

1. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani

Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani - Just One Day-

If you liked ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’, then you’ll surely love ‘Just One Day‘ by Gayle Forman which is a young adult contemporary book about self-exploration, friendship, and travel.

2. Anjaana Anjaani

Anjaana Anjaani - All The Bright Places

I’m amongst those very few people who loved ‘Anjaana Anjaani’. Though I agree that it could’ve been executed better but still… okay if you want to read a book with a similar concept, read ‘All the Bright Places‘ where 2 teenagers meet while attempting suicide at the Bell Tower.

3. Talaash

Talaash - Night Film

‘Talaash’ was a really well-made film in the thriller genre and if you want to read a book like it which relies more on interesting characterization than the adrenaline rush, then read ‘Night Film‘ by Marisha Pessl. It revolves around the death of 24-year-old Ashley Cordova who is the daughter of a reclusive cult-movie director whom no one has seen.

4. Sarkar

Sarkar - The Godfather

If you love ‘Sarkaar’, then don’t miss this book: Godfather by Mario Puzo.

5. Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai

Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai - Forget Me

Read ‘Forget me‘ by K.A. Harrington. The blurb of the book goes like when Morgan’s boyfriend Flynn is killed in an accident, she uploads his picture on a social networking site with a goodbye message for closure. But then, the face recognition software tags him as Evan who lives in a neighboring town.

Flashbacks aaye ‘Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai’ ke?

6. Baar Baar Dekho

Baar Baar Dekho - The Time Traveler's Wife

Even the name of the movie was ironical “BAAR BAAR DEKHO”!!!

Anyways, if you love this movie, then you can pick “The Time Traveler’s Wife” as your next read.

7. Imtiaz Ali Movies

Highway by Imtiaz Ali

Be it Highway, Rockstar, Tamasha, or any other Imtiaz Ali movie, they all have one thing in common and that’s “self-discovery”.

So, if you love Imtiaz Ali’s movies, then read John Green books as they have many similar themes of self-discovery.

So, these were some books you should read if you love these 7 Bollywood movies: Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Anjaana Anjaani, Talaash, Baar Baar Dekho, Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, Sarkar, and any other Imtiaz Ali’s film
