Top 9 Christmas Movies You Probably Might Have Never Heard Of

I’m going to make it very clear for the readers here, this list of the top Christmas movies to watch are for Indians only, as all we know in the name of a Christmas movie is the ‘Home Alone’ series.

So, to beat that out and have at least some excitement at the end of this damn year, here we present to you the list of some of the most underrated Christmas movies to watch in 2020 out there.

1. A Cinderella Story: Christmas Wish

Kat lives with her stepmother and two stepsister.

She is trying to save up some money so that she can move out of that place.

It is the same Cinderella story we all are aware of but with the touch of Christmas.

She meets Nick and they fall in love but Kat’s stepfamily comes in the way. Of course, they end up together though. Or not! I don’t know. Won’t reveal the climax here.

2. Klaus

We have been hearing Santa Klaus’s story since we were childrens. But have you wondered how the ritual of letters and gifts started in the first place?

It is what this movie is about. About Jesper. A spoiled brat who ends up at Smeerenburg as his punsihment. In the snowy town, he meets a grumpy man and together they create history.

3. Let It Snow

If you, like me, are also a sucker for intertwined romantic comedies, you definitely should not miss this. There are so many love stories forming together that you end up loving everyone. It’s a teen drama basically, with intricate relationships and an ensemble cast.

4. A Christmas Prince

Amber Moore is a journalist who is sent to Aldovia to take the interview of Prince Richard on his inheritance of the crown. But Amber gets mistaken to be the tutor for princess Emily. So, She role-plays to get the information about the Prince.

There are a total of three parts of this movie which shows everything from the royal journeys to weddings to being parents.

5. The Princess Switch

Stacy is a baker and a pastry shop owner in Chicago. She takes part in a baking competition in the Kingdom of Belgravia with her friend Kevin. And there, she meets her twin Margaret Delacourt, Duchess of Montenaro.

Margaret wants to spend time as an ordinary girl for which she suggests that they should switch places. Together they create some chaos and relationships that take different turns.

6. Love Actually

This movie is the Christmas (and British) version of New Year’s Eve.

It’s also an interlocked story that tells us about various people and their Christmas celebrations.

If you have seen the epic Hugh Grant meme above, where-in he is dancing carefree, it is from this movie only.

7. Last Christmas

Emilia Clark and Henry Golding in a movie: isn’t this reason enough to watch this film?

Kate is almost homeless and meets Tom outside the shop where she works. Both have varied personalities but still click with each other. And that’s it. Just do yourself a favor and watch it now!

8. Four Christmases

If you don’t like movies with too much drama, you can add this comedy to your list.

Kate and Brad both have divorced parents. They usually go for a vacation during Christmas time. But their flight gets delayed by a day and thus, they are forced to celebrate Christmas with their parents which means FOUR EMBARASSING CHRISTMASES.

9. The Holiday

Amanda and Iris are two independent women who are very caught up in their work-life and fed up with their love life.

Iris lists her cottage on a house swap website which Amand finds and texts her. They swap their houses for the holiday season and meet some interesting people on their vacation.


Now, what? Just get a warm blanket, a hot cup of coffee or chocolate and start with any of this Christmas movies.
