Want to become an Entrepreneur?
Well, it’s so easy! All you need is an idea, a bit of discipline, and some BOOKS.
And those who fail to notice the importance of Books are, trust me, shooting themselves in the foot.
See, everybody needs a mentor in their life and everyone would love to have Elon Musk, Richard Branson by their side to guide them but is it actually possible?
We can’t have them, but what we can have is their life insights and how they did what they did, right?
There are a zillion books out there focusing on Entrepreneurship but the challenge is to find one that will reverberate with you and stimulate you to aim higher, in the right direction.
So, these are some of the books that I think every aspiring Entrepreneur should Read:
Made to Stick
A great book that teaches how to spread effective ideas, but also it teaches how people process information and different scientific theories about oral communication.
Losing My Virginity
This book provides real good insights into the Mind and Real Life Challenges faced by Richard Branson during his journey as a “Serial Entrepreneur”.
A must-read for all wannabe StartUp Owners, Entrepreneurs, Business Executives.
Crossing the Chasm
An excellent book on how to move from an early market to conquer the mainstream market, in which the majority of profit resides.
If you plan on founding your first startup and you could only read one book, you would be well served to pick Running Lean.
Get it on Flipkart for ₹650.
Blink: The Power of Thinking without thinking
A book that gives one insight as to how sometimes our very own well thought decisions can be wrong while our instinct was right. But don’t get too carried away with the fact that instincts are always right.
This book tells you when to listen to your instincts and when to take a decision on the traditional way with plentiful examples and research to back it up.
The Lean Startup
The book is mostly about the process of building, innovating every single day in startup life, however, some parts of it also hold true for bigger companies.
The best thing about this book is that you don’t need business experience to understand the core concepts. The principles he talks about can be applied to all types of business but are particularly helpful for software and tech products.
So, these are the 6 books that I think no aspiring entrepreneur should miss reading. If you have some more books to add on to this list, then do let us know in the comments below. And hey, don’t forget to share it with the right person 🙂
